The League of Women Voters of the Hamptons, Shelter Island and the North Fork sponsors the annual State of the Town Event. Supervisor Gerry Siller will address a number of issues on the town’s agenda including water quantity and quality, deer overpopulation/tick-borne disease and affordable housing. We will look back on this past year when the Town Board proposed legislation to transfer development rights on Town preserved properties, a new Comprehensive plan was being written, the Town transferred West Neck Water District jurisdiction to Suffolk County Water Authority and support for a referendum on an affordable housing tax was being developed. Hear about all these topics and take advantage of the opportunity to ask questions of our Supervisor directly.
