We are proud to have been awarded a grant from the American Library Association to hold four conversations about race in contemporary America. Shelter Islander Becky Cole and Retired Professor of Anthropology Denise Oliver-Velez along with librarian Jocelyn Ozolins will hold four wide-ranging discussions covering the legacies of inequality and injustice that continue to this day; the various movements working for racial justice; and the ways in which we can all be allies in this effort. All are welcome. Registration is required. Please contact Jocelyn Ozolins for more information.
