Garlic Is As Good As Ten Mothers:  A Film by Les Blank

In this love letter to “the stinking rose,” documentarian Les Black interviews garlic fanatics of all stripes, from cooks to members of garlic appreciation societies. This film, (a lip-smacking foray into the history, consumption, cultivation and culinary/curative powers of garlic) features renowned chef Alice Waters.  In 2004, Garlic Is As Good As Ten Mothers was one of 25 films selected by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Film Registry.  We’ll have some garlic treats to enjoy too!
